Sierra

Nothing reminds me more of my work than a long plank that still shows its bark on the edges. Also called live edge, these boards are made with spalted maple. Spalted boards have quite a bit of variation in the wood grain. I have found that adding bronze handles and rubber feet to the Sierras makes them easier to handle. The Sierras are typically long and narrow. They make a statement piece down the center of a table – a perfect fit for parties.
